PLDT-Smart Foundation support; ATRAM strengthens sustainability; Airspeed contactless delivery, Better water service; OKBet betting stations – Malaya

PLDT-Smart Foundation (PSF) partnered with FiberHome Technologies and Fleet of Hope to provide 12 fishing boats to Sta. Monica and General Luna, Surigao del Norte, plus solar lamps from One Meralco Foundation.
Twenty boats were also distributed to communities in the second district of Bohol.
PSF delivered 100 bicycles to Surigao del Norte. Additional units of Hospital-in-a-Bike, packaged with a First Responder training in partnership with Makati Medical Center Foundation and Maynilad were also donated.
The city government of Tagbilaran in Bohol also received 50 bikes from PSF for residents’ transportation through a bike-sharing app. Maynilad, as part of this initiative, also installed a water fountain.
PSF donated PLDT and Smart Ligtas Kits, an all-in-one emergency communications package, to the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office of Pilar, Surigao del Norte.
The TK group conducted medical missions in Burgos and General Luna. School supplies and learning materials were also donated to Del Carmen through Alagang Kapatid Foundation, Inc. Happy Eskwela program.
In partnership with Ginto Chocolates, PSF assisted small-holder cacao farmer cooperatives through capacity-building on cacao rehabilitation and production using sustainable farming technology. PSF and Maynilad will also construct a training center, wash and drinking areas for the farmers of Liboron Organic Farmers and Cacao Growers Association in Calape, Bohol.
Women weavers from The Weaves Are Us of Tubigon, Bohol also received three sewing machines from PSF to help their production and increase livelihood opportunities for women.
PSF also distributed over 13,600 relief goods to communities affected by Typhoons Agaton and Paeng, Mt. Bulusan eruption, and the North Luzon earthquake. More than 2,500 boxes of multivitamins were provided nationwide and nearly 300 Smart LTE pocket WiFi with P705,000 worth of load cards given to students and schools as part of PSF’s longstanding commitment to help communities.
The ATRAM Group announced its most recent collaborations with UNICEF Philippines and Good Food Community.

Showcasing ATRAM’s commitment to develop sustainable businesses, and to empower social enterprises and non-profit organizations, ATRAM announced new collaborations as part of its corporate social responsibility program.
These include UNICEF Philippines, whose mandate is to protect and promote the rights of the world’s most vulnerable children, and Good Food Community, which helps gather conscientious eaters who wish to help Filipino farmers. The announcement was made during ATRAM’s annual Thanksgiving Celebration held last December at the Palacio de Memoria. Other collaborations include Tesoro’s Handicrafts, whose local ornaments helped bring the event space to life.
Airspeed continuously provides innovation on logistics to address the different needs of clients and end users.
Their newest service offer — PopBox, powered by Airspeed, are smart lockers located in LRT-1 stations poised to offer efficient and contactless delivery service.
These smart lockers were brought in to the Philippines by PopBox Asia, in partnership with Light Rail Manila Corp. (LRMC), and Airspeed as the official logistics partner who will be offering this new fulfillment option to their clients.
PopBox, powered by Airspeed is set to be officially launched this February 2023. Long queues for picking up packages will soon be avoided, and will also enable easy consumer package returns in the next phases.
Tubig Pilipinas Group Inc (TPGI) and Catbalogan Water District (CWD) signed a 25-year partnership agreement on December 28 to improve the water utility’s service delivery, operations, and maintenance in the City of Catbalogan.
TPGI is a fast-growing utility company headed by Ryan Wesley Yapkianwee that champions access to clean water through the operation, management, and rehabilitation of waterworks, sewage and sanitation systems and services.
The company is both a bulk water supplier and direct water distributor.
Currently, TPGI through its subsidiaries and affiliates operates water supply and distribution systems in key areas of Pangasinan, Nueva Ecija, Camarines Sur, Cavite, Palawan, Negros Occidental, and Samar.
