Game 7 of the first-round Western Conference playoff series between the Los Angeles Kings and Edmonton Oilers will take place Saturday in enemy territory. The series is even at 3-3 in favor of the visitors. The puck will drop from Rogers Place at 10 p.m. Eastern Time. Our NHL expert choices, predictions, and bets for the Kings vs. Oilers Game 7 odds and lines are here.
The Oilers beat the Kings 4-2 on Thursday to stay alive in the Western Conference playoffs. In the second period, they took a 2-0 lead, but the Kings fought back and tied it in the opening minute of the third period.
Tyson Barrie’s fifth-period goal gave Edmonton a 2-1 lead, and Evander Kane’s empty-netter with a minute to play clinched the win for the Oilers.
The Oilers were only given one power play by the Kings, and it was unsuccessful. As the Kings are unable to match the Oilers’ offensive prowess, it will be a major factor in Saturday’s game.
Since being a monster in this series, Kane has benefited the Oilers. In the NHL playoffs, his seven goals are a tie for the most. C Connor McDavid has been sensational in the playoffs, scoring three goals and assisting on nine others for an NHL postseason point total of 12. However, despite his plus-8 rating, C Leon Draisaitl has not been as significant as Kane in this series with five goals and three assists.
The current odds on the Kings vs. Oilers game
OKBET Sportsbook provides the odds for a comprehensive list, go here at at 12:26 p.m. Eastern Time
- A 100 wager on the Kings (+175) and a 220 wager on the Oilers (+100) will net you a profit of 175.
- ATS: a bet taken to cover the spread. Kings +1.5 (-140) | Oilers -1.5 (+112)
- Its O/U ratio is 6.5, with O at -105 and U at -120.
Goaltenders for the Kings and Oilers are expected to line up against each other.
It’s Jonathan Quick (23-13-9, 2.59 GAA,.910) vs Mike Smith (16-9-1, 2.81 GAA,.915 SV%, 2 SO — regular season)
After his Game 4 shutout, Quick’s performance in the series has been uninspiring. There have been at least three shots on goal in each of his games save for the shutout. Even though he hasn’t been able to get to the high-danger opportunities, he is now 16th in the playoffs with a -0.3 goals saved beyond expectations.
I’m certain that if I were to ask which goaltender was the best based on numbers, Smith’s name wouldn’t have made the top five. Goalie Smith has performed better than any other player in the playoffs in terms of save percentage. More than eight goals against average have been saved by him. When it comes to the series, Smith has a 2.67 goals against average and a.931 save percentage, although he has lost two of his three games.

Prediction
The Kings defeated the Oilers by a score of 4-3.
Money line
In this series, the away side has won four of the six games, and I wouldn’t bet against them at -220 to win Game 7.
They have more players, superior goalie, and the benefit of playing at home….. What’s the problem? Their lack of experience and skepticism contributes to their reluctance to take on the challenge.
The Kings, who were meant to be at home by this point, have a less margin for error now. They are up 2-1 in the series and need to hammer Smith with 40 shots. In addition, they’ll have to rein in Kane.
Despite the fact that McDavid will get his and set an example for his teammates to follow, the line will fall short.
Game 7 Los Angeles: There’s a lot of money on Edmonton, according to Pregame.com. In the face of adversity, which squad maintains their cool? The Oilers have dropped the puck behind their own net so many times that they’re now down 0-1 in the series? KINGS (+175) have the upper hand.
Against the Spread
It’s possible that the Kings may need extra time to win this one. But if they don’t, they’ll be beaten by more than just one score.
Over/Under
In Games 2, 4, and 6, the Under was victorious. Over is 2-1 in Edmonton in the series, with the exception of a 6-0 whitewash.
If the Kings don’t get on the scoresheet, they’re going to be annihilated. LEAN OVER 6.5 POUNDS (-105).
